Water Sector Development Program
Provision and technical and facilitation consultancy services for the facilitation of the Iramba Water Sector Development Program.
EEPCO provided consultancy services for the implementation of Phase I of the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Program in Iramba. The project was implemented in association with Hydro works who provided technical services; while EEPCO provided facilitation services.
Technical consultancy services included:
- Assessment of rural water supply and sanitation situation, preparation of District Water Supply and Sanitation Plan
- Preparation of detailed designs and cost estimates for selected communities’ projects
- Preparation of tender documents and assistance in the tendering process
- Supervision of construction
Facilitation consultancy services included:
- Assistance of communities in the planning, construction, operation and maintenance of their own water supply and sanitation facilities
- Provision of focused hygiene education
- Training for the establishment of Water User Entities
- Promotion of rainwater harvesting
